The Division of Child Support Enforcement (DCSE) offers safe and secure ways to make and receive payments, so you can choose what works best for you.

The fastest way to make a payment is online through MyChildSupport.

Pay with your bank account, debit card or credit card in MyChildSupport.

There is no fee when you pay from your bank account.
A convenience fee applies to debit and credit card payments.
To make a payment, you will need your case number or Social Security number (SSN).

A convenience fee applies to each transaction.

These options allow you to make payments in person or by mail.

Mail (check or money order)

Pay in person at kiosks around Virginia.

A kiosk fee is added to each payment.
You will need your case number or Social Security Number (SSN)
Payments are limited to $999 per transaction.

Provide your case number and name.

Make the check or money order payable to the Treasurer of Virginia.

Write the following on your payment:

When Payments Post

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)/Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) payments: Next business day if sent after 4:30 p.m.
Checks and money orders: Post the same day they are processed
All other payments: Usually post within 2–5 business days
