How Training Requests Work

• Send all training or event requests to localsupport@dss.virginia.gov.
• A training contact submits the request.
• The event is added to the delivery spreadsheet.
• The Systems Data and Support (SDAS) team enters the event into the system.

Enrollment and Class Updates

• SDAS tracks enrollment for each class.
• If a class fills up:
  • A waitlist starts.
  • SDAS sends a waitlist notice.
• If space opens:
  • Enrollment reopens.
• On the Monday before class:
  • SDAS sends confirmation emails.
  • Enrollment closes.
• If seats are still open:
  • SDAS shares them with staff who need the training.

After the Class

• The trainer sends the final class roster to localsupport@dss.virginia.gov.
• SDAS completes the record:
  • Within 24 hours
  • Often within the same hour

DARS Monthly Report

This report includes:

• A list of all active Adult Protective Services (APS) staff in the Virginia Learning Center
• Required training for APS staff
• Completion reports for:
  • Webinars
  • Online learning

Profile Setup

The SDAS team creates profiles in the Virginia Learning Center when requested.

Types of Requests

You can request help for:

• New profiles
• Password resets
• Profile updates
• Reactivating inactive profiles

• Send one request per email.
• Include all required details.
• This helps protect access and prevents system errors.
